Abstract:
Objective To analyze the problems existing in medical technology quality and safety management based on the evaluation results of secondary maternal and child health(MCH) care hospitals, so as to provide evidence for MCH care hospitals to improve the quality of medical technology.
Methods The review results of medical technology quality management items from 20 secondary MCH hospitals in Chongqing were analyzed from 2020 to 2021. The rates of clinical examination and imaging examination(including special examination) reaching standard level were compared, and the differences between various areas in Chongqing were analyzed.
Results The overall rates of medical technology quality management items reaching standard level was high. The rate of continuous improvement a reaching standard level A in respect of medical technology quality management between hospitals varied widely, with the lowest being 9.41% and the highest being 26.98%. That indicator were also different between various areas(
P<0.05). The Northeast Chongqing area was better than other areas, with the rate being 45.19%; the Southeast Chongqing area was the lowest, with the rate being only 14.10%. The quality management of clinical examination was better than that of imaging examination(including special examination). The rates of clinical examination quality management item C, item B and item A reaching standard level was greater than those of imaging examination(including special examination) by 3.81%, 13.42%, and 5.44% respectively.
Conclusion Grade evaluation can promote the development of medical technology quality management in MCH care hospitals, but staff, quality management system, application of quality management tools, external inspection management, etc. was needed to be continuously enhanced, and the uneven development between regions and professional fields was needed to be improved.
