Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of extended health education in children with peptic ulcer by telephone return visit.
Methods A total of 126 children with peptic ulcers admitted to our hospital from May 2017 to January 2018 were selected and divided into two groups, with 63 children in each group. The control group was given routine nursing and health education, but no extended nursing. The observation group gave a telephone return visit to extend health education after being discharged from the hospital. The medical compliance and recurrence of the two groups were compared.
Results After 12 months follow-up,the compliance rates of correct medication, reasonable diet, good exercise, good emotional control and regular re-examination in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(
P<0.05). At 24 months, the relapse rate of the observation group was 11. 11%,which was significantly lower than that of the control group(24. 40%)(
P<0.05).
Conclusion The implementation of telephone return visit and extended health education guidance for children with peptic ulcer can provide continuous nursing management for children and their parents after discharge, which is helpful to further standardize the behavior of children's compliance with medical treatment.
