Abstract:
Objective To explore the influence of continuous humanistic care based on social psychology on postoperative physical and mental state, stress response and coping styles of patients with endometrial cancer.
Methods Totally 87 patients who underwent endometrial cancer surgery in First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from July 2018 to July 2020 were recruited as study objects. They were divided into two groups according to the random number method, of which 43 cases in the control group received routine nursing care, and 44 cases in the intervention group were given continuous humanistic care based on social psychology. The physical and mental state, stress response and coping style were observed between the two groups.
Results After intervention, anxiety and depression were improved and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores decreased in both groups. but the intervention group had sharper changes compared with the control group(
P<0.05);Cortisol and adrenaline levels increased 24 hours postoperation in both groups, while intervention group increased less than control group(
P<0.05); The scores of "faceing" increased, and the scores of"avoidance" and "surrender" decreased in both groups, while changes were bigger in the intervention group than those in the control group(
P<0.05).
Conclusion Continuous humanistic care based on social psychology can effectively eliminate postoperative anxiety and depression, relieve pain, reduce stress response in patients with endometrial cancer, and improve their coping style. It is worthy of clinical application.
