Abstract:
Objective To explore priority adjustment list of maternal and child health(MCH) care service price items by the Delphi method in Shanghai, so as to provide evidence for subsequent applications for price adjustments.
Methods Based on the results of a metrowide survey on the demand for adjustment of MCH care price items, the Delphi method was used to conduct expert consultation to score the adjustment priorities and attributes of MCH care price items.
Results Experts in the 2 rounds of consultation were highly motivated, and the questionnaire response rate was 100%. The expert authority coefficients of child health care items were 0.933 and 0.927, while those of maternal health care items were 0.927 and 0.920. After 2 rounds of consultation, the Kendall coordination coefficients of child health care service items and maternal health care service items were 0.149 and 0.182, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). A list of 11 child health care items, including child behavioral development assessment, child vision screening, caries risk assessment, child health care medical examination and consultation, child behavioral intervention training, child dietary assessment and guidance, and child spinal test, as well as 8 maternal health care items, including maternal weight management, on-site rescue consultation fees for maternal near miss (out-of-hospital), Doula delivery, maternal psychological screening and counselling, postpartum breastfeeding guidance, nutritional assessment and counselling, and special courses in maternity schools, were verified to be prioritized for adjustment.
Conclusion This study confirms priority adjustment list of MCH care service price items by the Delphi method scientifically and rationally, which provides evidence and reference for the adjustment of MCH care price items in future daily work and experiences for other provinces and cities.
