Abstract:
Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is one of the most common complications of pregnancy. It can cause a range of immediate and long-term health impacts on both pregnant women and their offspring, diminishing their quality of life and bringing economic burden. Calculating and analyzing the disease burden of GDM can help to identify the main directions for controlling gestational diabetes mellitus. This paper analyzed the literature on the disease burden of GDM published in recent years to understand the current research status and research gaps of the burden of disease studies both domestically and internationally, aiming to provide lessons and references for future research in this area.
