Abstract:
Objective To investigate the coping styles of breast cancer chemotherapy patients, to discuss the relationship between coping styles and life quality and psychological intervention countermeasures.
Methods 84 cases breast cancer chemotherapy patients were selected and randomly divided into control group and intervention group. The patients in control group were carried out common nursing, intervention group patients were carried out common nursing and psychological intervention (individual intervention and team intervention). Medical coping modes questionnaire (MCMQ) was used to assessment the coping styles of the patient in two groups, and the differences were compared, and also to analysis the relations between coping styles and life quality.
Results The difference between the two groups in the dimension score of yielding and avoiding were statically significant (
P< 0. 01), and there was no statically significant in facing dimension (
P> 0. 05); After psychological intervention, the difference between the two groups in the dimension score of facing, avoiding and the total score were statically significant (
P< 0. 01,
P< 0. 05). Life quality was positively correlated to positive facing; life quality was negatively correlated to avoiding.
Conclusion The coping styles of breast cancer chemotherapy patients were passive, it should be given corresponding psychological intervention, and encourage patients to take positive coping styles, so as to improve their life quality.
