Abstract:
Objective To investigate the delivery mode of pregnant women of a hospital in Heyuan City from 2010 to 2016 and to analyze its influencing factors.
Methods A total of 372 641 pregnant women in our hospital from January 2010 to December 2016 were enrolled in this study. Their delivery modes were recorded. The general data were analyzed. Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of the delivery modes.
Results ① The rate of natural childbirth was increaseing from 2010 to 2016 in our hospital in Heyuan City. The rate of cesarean section and the rate of cesarean section without medical indication showed a downward trend (
P< 0.05). There was no significant change in the rate of vaginal delivery showed (
P> 0.05). ② Univariate analysis showed that cesarean section history, results of prenatal examination, doctor's advice, wishes of family, family annual income were the influencing factors of delivery mode. Logistic regression model was further used and showed that the pregnant women with normal results of prenatal examination, the family willing natural delivery and the family annual income less than 10 million preferred to vaginal delivery. The pregnant women who had cesarean section history and received the doctor suggestions to cesarean section preferred to cesarean section.
Conclusion During 2010-2016, the delivery mode of the pregnant women in Heyuan preferred to natural childbirth. The delivery modes of pregnant women were impacted by a variety of factors. It is recommended to raise the community's correct understanding of childbirth and strengthen the education of healthy childbirth.
