Abstract: Objective To understand the situation and characteristics of common gynecological diseases among the community women in Weihai city, in order to provide a basis for establishing an effective community maternal health care periodic census.Methods Cluster random sampling method was used in this study, and all the married rural women aged 30-60-years old in six communities of Weihai were selected as respondents.Results The prevalence of gynecological diseases among the community women was 81. 05%, the top three gynecological diseases were breast diseases, cervicitis and vaginitis; the difference in the prevalence of cervicitis, vaginitis, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, cervical cancer, cyclomastopathy, mammary cancer in different age groups was statistically significant. The prevalence of malignant tumor in 41-50-year-old group was the highest (248/10⁵).Conclusion The prevalence of gynecological diseases among the community women was high, effective community maternal health care periodic census should be established to promote reproductive health of community women.
