Abstract:
Objective To probe into the characteristics of labor history and pregnancy outcome of the full term pregnant women with scar uterus.
Methods 58 cases of full term pregnant women with scar uterus received services in our hospital from January 2016 to December 2016 were selected as the study group. Another 58 cases of full term primipara received services in our hospital in the same period were selected as the control group. Two groups took the vaginal delivery at the first time. The data of the mode of terminal of pregnancy, the total birth process time, the amount of 24 h bleeding after delivery, the Apgar score of the newborn and the complications of the mother and child of two groups were compared.
Results There was no significant difference in the incidence of caesarean section, natural childbirth and vaginal midwifery between the two groups (
P> 0.05). There was no significant difference in the total labor time, postpartum 24 h bleeding after delivery and Apgar score between the two groups (
P> 0.05). There was no significant difference in the infection, vaginal laceration, postpartum hemorrhage, urinary retention and neonatal asphyxia between the two groups (
P> 0.05).
Conclusion There is no significant difference in the birth process and pregnancy outcome between the vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) and vaginal delivery. VBAC is safety and feasible and it is worth to be applied.
