Abstract:
Objective To explore the risk factors of the twin premature and provide the references for prevention and control of the premature of twin.
Methods A total of 150 women with twin premature infants were selected as the preterm group between December 2014 and December 2014 in our hospital, and 150 twin pregnancy women without premature infants were selected as control group. The clinical data of the two groups were collected and retrospectively analyzed. The single factor analysis method was used to analyze the influence factors of twin premature birth. While, its risk factors were analyzed by using logistic regression analysis method.
Results Single factor analysis showed that the age, incidence of gestational diabetes, fetal distress, and premature rupture of membranes of the preterm group were higher than that of the control group. The differences were statistically significant (
P< 0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that age, gestational diabetes, fetal distress, premature rupture of membranes were the risk factors for twin premature infants. The differences were statistically significant (
P< 0.05).
Conclusion Older age, gestational diabetes, fetal distress, and premature rupture of membranes are the risk factors of twin premature infants. It reminded that in order to prevent the twin preterm births, the physicians should focus on giving twin pregnancy women health education, encourage them to form good living habits, properly control diet, receive regular antenatal examination, closely monitor the fetal growth at the same time, strengthen prenatal health care.
