Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of cesarean scar diverticulum (CSD) on pregnancy outcomes.
Methods A retrospective analysis was used to analyze the data of patient with pregnancy outcomes of cesarean scar with or without diverticulum (experimental group or control group) visited our hospital from January 2016 to December 2017.
Results A total of 26 and 93 patients were recruited in experimental group and control group, respectively. There was no statistical difference in spontaneous abortion rate, cesarean scar pregnancy rate, placenta implantation rate, and neonatal Apgar score in fifth minute between the two groups (
P> 0.05). There were no patients suffered from cesarean scar rupture in experimental group, as well in control group.
Conclusion CSD with thickness of muscle layer > 2 mm doesn't increase adverse pregnancy outcomes.
