Abstract:
Objective To observe the kindergarten children's physical development status and the detection rate of common diseases in Hefei Hi-tech Industries Development Zone.
Methods A total of 6949 2-6 years old children's physical examination data during 2013 to 2015 in maternal and child health surveillance system of Hefei were analyzed. All of the children were from 7 kindergartens.
Results In 2016, the weight, height and weight for height of more than 99.00% children were at medium to high level. The height and weight for height of boys were higher than that of girls. The difference was statistically significant (
P< 0.05).The detection rate of malnutrition, obesity, anemia, poor vision and dental caries was 0.77%, 7.32%, 3.84%, 49.49% and 45.11%, respectively. The detection rates of poor vision and dental caries in 2016 were significantly higher than those of in 2013.
Conclusions The nutrition situations of the kindergarten children in Hefei Hi-tech Industries Development Zone were fine. However, the detection rate of obesity, poor sight and dental caries were higher. It is very necessary to prevent and interfere the obesity and ophthalmology diseases in kindergarten. Moreover, oral health care also is the priority of the health care management in kindergarten.
