Abstract:
Objective To understand the epidemiological characteristics of pregnant women with AIDS virus(HIV) infection in 2002-2013 in Henan province.
Methods The information of HIV-positive pregnant women in Henan province from 2002 to 2013 was collected from National mother-to child HIV transmission(PMTCT) management information system,and the positive rate of pregnant women,the rate of mother-baby transmission,demographic characteristics,pregnancy delivery and HIV infection ways were described.
Results A total of 8621554 pregnant women were detecte 4 d,and 2264 pregnant women were found with HIV infection,the HIVpositive rate was 0.03%,and the HIV-positive rate showed decreasing trend year by year(
χ2= 4.871,
P=0.027). HIV-positive pregnancy was 17-48 years old,and the average age was(31.21 ± 5.81) years. Most of them are Han nationality(95.77%),86.46% of them was primary or junior high school education,89.85% of them was farmers,and 77.69% of them was first marriage.Many of the pregnancy distributed in Zhumadian,Kaifeng and Nanyang,accounting for 63.62% of Henan province. The main route of transmission was blood/blood products infection(52.38%) and sexually transmitted infection(38.69%). During 2002 to 2013,the proportion of blood/blood products infection was gradually decreasing,while the proportion of sexually transmitted infection was increasing. Only 11.15% of HIV-infected pregnant women are diagnosed during pregnancy health care.
Conclusion HIV-positive pregnant detected rate showed decreasing trend year by year in Henan province,and sexually transmitted infection was the main ways of HIV infection. The diagnosis rate of HIV-positive pregnant during pregnancy and early marriage was low; most of them accepted mother-baby transmission preventing during intrapartum or postpartum.
