Analysis on the needs of health care continuing education for employees in Child care institutions in Jilin province

  • Objective To understand the status quo of employees in child-care institutions in jilin area and their needs of health care knowledge,and to provide reference basis for relevant government departments to carry out training on improving the quality and technical level of employees.Methods A total of 236 attend childcare facilities in Jilin area health care business training personnel as the research objects. A survey was conducted by using the self-design questionnaire“Basic Information questionnaire for employees of Child Care institutions in Jilin area”. The contents of questionnaire included three dimensions: the current situation of employment,the content of health care knowledge needs and the willingness to continue learning. There were a total of 19 items. Factors affecting the willingness of practitioners to learn relevant health knowledge were analyzed by Spearman correlation coefficient analysis. Results 98.7% of the respondents were willing to learn more knowledge about health care in child care institutions. There was a correlation between gender and willingness to learn. 91.5% of the respondents were willing to accept continuing education,and it was positively correlated with salary level. The demand for psychological knowledge of children was the highest,followed by common diseases,first aid for children,food nutrition,infection prevention and hygiene law.Conclusion The level of health care knowledge of employees in child care institutions can be improved by the use of park resources,maternal and child health organizations,local medical colleges and universities and internet resources.
