Effect of breast cancer screening combined with publicity and education on the prevalence of breast cancer at grass-roots level

Abstract
Objective To explore and analyze the effect of breast cancer screening combined with publicity and education on the score of breast cancer knowledge, attitudes and behaviors and the prevalence of breast cancer among grass-roots women of appropriate age.Methods 1850 cases of community women aged 30 to 65 years old were selected from June 2017 to May 2018 to receive propaganda education and breast cancer screening. The first screening and receiving publicity and education subjects were selected as the control group. The subjects who had been screened and received publicity and education were selected as the experimental group (578 cases). The scores of knowledge, attitudes and behaviors and incidences of breast cancer were compared between the two groups.Results Compared with the control group, the scores of knowledge, attitudes and measures, behaviors of breast cancer prevention preventive were significantly higher, and the incidence of breast cancer was significantly lower (χ2= 4. 516, P=0.020).Conclusion Breast cancer screening combined with propaganda and education can increase the breast cancer related knowledge in community women. Strengthening the implementation of breast self-examination behavior and preventive behavior can reduce the occurrence of breast cancer at the grass-roots level.
