Relationship between vaginitis,HPV infection and cervical cancer

Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation between common vaginitis and papillomavirus (HPV) infection, cervical cancer.Methods From January 2013 to June 2018, 1200 patients of Peking university Shenzhen hospital were selected, and the HPV infection rate and the incidence of cervical cancer between the vaginitis group and the normal group were analyzed. The HPV infection rate and the incidence of cervical cancer between patients with different vaginitis were analyzed.Results The rate of HPV infection and the incidence of cervical cancer in patients with bacterial vaginitis, candida vaginitis and trichomonas vaginitis were significantly higher than those with normal vaginal microenvironment. There was no significant difference in HPV infection rate and incidence of cervical cancer between patients with bacterial vaginitis, candida vaginitis and trichomonas vaginitis.Conclusion Vaginal inflammation including bacterial vaginitis, candida vaginitis and trichomonas vaginitis is associated with HPV infection. Vaginal inflammation may indirectly affects cervical cancer by affecting HPV infection.
