Investigated on the status of growth and development of scattered children in Wuhu in 2015

  • Objective To grasp the growth and development level of the scattered children and understand the implementation effect of the equalization of basic public health service in Wuhu.Methods Data of children who received physical examination from the sampling points from July to December 2015 were collected and analyzed.Results The average weight, length/height of scattered children in Wuhu were higher than WHO (2006 version). The incidence of low weight, emaciation and growth retardation were 0.12%, 0.17%, 0.33% respectively, and the incidence of obesity was 4.42%.Conclusions The growth and development of children in Wuhu are well, the incidence of malnutrition is low, the difference between urban and rural areas is small, and the equalization of basic public health services has achieved remarkable results in this city.
