Bibliometric analysis of epidemiological research papers on gestational diabetes mellitu in China from 1996 to 2018

  • Objective To study on the epidemiology of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in China from the point of view of bibliometrics.Methods According to CNKI China Journal full text Database, 9 relevant papers of the epidemiology of GDM are statistically analyzed and evaluated by bibliometrics.Results From 1996 to 2017, the amount of literature related to the epidemiological study of GDM in China was relatively small and showed an increasing trend. Nine papers were distributed in 8 kinds of journals, and nearly 77.78% of the articles were included in all kinds of core journals. About 33.33% papers are supported by all kinds of fund. The author's cooperation rate is as high as 100%. The volume of publications undertaken by independent institutions accounted for 77.78% of the total literature.Conclusion The understanding of the external characteristics of the literature through bibliometric analysis provides a useful reference for understanding the research progress in GDM in China.
