Abstract
Objective To analyze the preventive and control measures of hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) in children. Methods A total of 96 cases of HFMD in our hospital from August 2015 to August 2017 were divided into two groups by random number table, 48 cases in the control group and 48 cases in the observation group. The control group received routine hand, foot and mouth disease nursing, while the observation group received health education related to disease prevention and control. The disease cognition of the family members of the patients and the second generation incidence of HFMD were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the scores of the family members of the observation group on the route of disease transmission (21.87 ±2.89), the target of transmission (22.97 ±3.06), the clinical manifestations after infection (21.87 ±3.57) and the prevention measures (23.31 ±3.24) were higher than those of the control group (17.34 ±2.61), (16.97 ±2.14), (15.98 ±2.94), (16.15 ±2.26). The second generation incidence of HFMD (4. 17%) was significantly lower than that in the control group (22.92%) (P<0.05).Conclusion Health education related to disease prevention and control should be carried out for children with hand, foot and mouth disease. It can effectively improve parents' awareness of the disease and reduce the second generation incidence of HFMD.
