Application of twin cohort study in genentic-environmental-health risk assessment

With the advancement of science and technology and the improvement of living standards,more and more studies explore the causes of health-related problems such as children's growth and development,psychological and cognitive development.The twin cohort study is considered as a good resource to evaluate the genetic and environmental factors for non-communicable chronic disease. In this paper,we firstly describe the characteristics of twin cohort study and the research progress worldwide,then discuss the main problems of twin cohort study in our country,and lastly elaborate the key issue in the design and implementation of the twin cohort study.
