Abstract
Objective To study the expression of Tomm34 in ovarian cancer and to explore the relationship between its expression level and cancer stage. Methods The data of 94 patients diagnosed with ovarian cancer in our hospital and treated with surgery from February 2016 to October 2018 were collected for this study. The expression of Tomm34 in tumor was detected by immunohistochemistry. The relationship between clinical and histological features and the Tomm34 expression level was compared. Results After the Tomm34 IHC experiment,11 samples(11.70%) scored 0 points,29 samples(30.85%) scored 1 point,32 samples(34.04%) scored 2 points, and 22 samples(23.40%) scored 3 points.Compared with the Tomm34 level of the two pathological classification samples, the Tomm34 expression score of the first sample(1.49±0.92) was significantly lower than that of the second sample(1.91±0.97),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the samples of wild-type p53,ovarian cancer samples with mutated p53 showed significantly higher Tomm34 expression score(P<0.05).The difference between the expression scores of Tomm34 in ovarian cancer samples with different FIGO stages was statistically significant(F=2.788,P=0.045).Spearman correlation analysis results showed that there was a certain correlation between the expression level of Tomm34 and FIGO stage(r=0.2749,P=0.0073),the higher the FIGO stage, the higher the expression level of Tomm34.Logistic regression analysis showed that the expression level of Tomm34 was significantly correlated with the level of CA125(r=0.4005,P<0.05).With the increase of CA125 level, the expression level of Tomm34 was also higher. There is a positive correlation between them. Conclusion The expression of Tomm34 in ovarian cancer is abnormal, and its expression level is significantly correlated with tumor type and stage.
