Analysis of breast cancer screening among rural women in Guangdong Province from 2015 to 2018

Abstract
Objective To analyze the data of breast cancer screening among rural women in Guangdong Province from 2015 to2018, and understand the situation of breast cancer screening and the detection of breast diseases, so as to provide a basis for women health care work. Method The breast cancer screening data among rural women aged 35-64 years old in Guangdong Province from2015 to 2018 were analyzed retrospectively to understand the detection of breast diseases. All the women underwent breast clinical examination and color ultrasonography. Mammography was performed in women with BI-RADS grade 0 and 3 of ultrasonography.Histopathological examination was performed directly in women with BI-RADS grade 4-5 of ultrasonography and mammography,respectively. The women with grade 0 and grade 3 of mammography were comprehensively evaluated by clinicians at or above the county level for follow-up or biopsy or other further examination. Result A total of 324,416 rural women participated the breast cancer screening in Guangdong Province from 2015 to 2018. Among them, 0.75%and 4. 78% were classified as BI-RADS grade 4 to grade 5 of ultrasonography and mammography, respectively. From 2015 to 2018, a total of 2,086 cases of breast fibroma were detected, with a detection rate of 0.64 %. A total of 561 cases of intraductal papilloma were detected, and the detection rate was 0.17 %. A total of141 cases of breast cancer were diagnosed, with a detection rate of 43. 46 per 100,000 women. The detection rate of breast cancer increased from 25.33 per 100,000 women in 2015 to 63.41 per 100,000 women in 2018. Conclusion The detection rate of breast cancer in Guangdong Province shows an upward trend. Strengthening the health education of breast cancer prevention and control knowledge and regularly carrying out screening for women play an important role in reducing the incidence of breast cancer. It is of great significance to strengthen the health education of breast cancer prevention and control knowledge and regularly carry out the screening for the purpose of breast cancer prevention and control, which plays an important role in reducing the incidence of breast cancer.
