Construction and practice of specialized skill training system for obstetricians in general hospitals

Abstract
Objective Toconstruct a scientific specialized skill training system for obstetricians to provide the reference for improving obstetricians' comprehensive clinical abilities. Method The specialized skill training contents for obstetricians were summarized through analyzing literature. All the medical staff in Obstetrics Department were recruited to participatein the questionnaire survey and gave supplementary scores to the training contents. Expert interviews were organized to determine a relatively complete training system for obstetricians. Result The initial training system was formed and included six parts: organization management,training objectives, training contents, assessment requirements, effect evaluation, and guarantee conditions. The training system consisted of 2 primary indicators, 20 secondary indicators, and 39 third-level indicators. More than 50 theoretical courses and 20 first aid drills have been completed since 2018. The total satisfaction rates of training form, teaching resources, training content, and assessment method were 94%, 97%, 95%, and 96%, respectively. A total of 145 critical pregnant women were rescued successfully over the past three years. The referral rate of high-risk pregnant women decreased by 30. 4%, and the patient satisfaction rate increased to 96%.Conclusion The specialized skill training system for obstetricians in this study is scientific and reasonable. It contributes to improving the professional ability of obstetricians and providing a reference for the training of obstetricians in other hospitals.
