Abstract
Objective To investigate the prevalence of cervical HPV infection and its characteristics of high-risk type distribution among health examination women in Nanjing. Methods Data of 8 496 women's cervical HPV test results during health examination at the Women's Physical Examination Center of Nanjing Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital were collected from 2017 to 2020. The prevalence of cervical HPV infection and characteristics of high-risk type distribution were analyzed. Results 1 408 women were detected HPV positive among 8 496 health examination women. The prevalence of HPV infection was 16. 6%,and prevalence of highrisk type HPV infection was 13. 5%. Within the population with HPV infection, single high-risk type infection accounted for 58. 2%,and multi-type high-risk and mixed high-low-risk infection accounted for 23. 2%. Prevalence of high-risk HPV infection was the highest among age 20-29,and the second highest among age 40-49. Conclusion Single type high-risk HPV is the main pathogen leading to cervical HPV infection among health examination women in Nanjing. The common high risk types are HPV 52,53,16,58 and 68.The prevalence of high-risk HPV shows a bimodal distribution with age. Prevention of cervical cancer should consider the characteristics of HPV high-risk type distribution and promoting HPV vaccine in order to decrease the incidence of cervical cancer.
