ObjectiveTo investigate service delivery on prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B virus (HBV) in private medical institutions in Nantong, Jiangsu.MethodsQuantitative and qualitative methods including monitoring data analysis, questionnaire survey, interview and field visit were used to summarize and analyze the data.ResultsThe elimination from mother-to-child transmission(EMTCT) project working groups were set up in nine private hospitals, respectively and special personnel were in charge of the work of EMTCT. The screening rate of HIV, syphilis, HBV among pregnant women,immunoglobulin coverage rate within 12 hours after birth and 1st dose hepatitis B vaccine among HBV-exposed newborns in 9 hospitals were all 100% in 2020. The screening rate of HIV,syphilis,HBV during early pregnancy among pregnant women in 7 hospitals was 85. 8%. Proportion of pregnant women with syphilis receiving penicillin treatment and children exposed to syphilis receiving nontreponemal serological test at birth in 2 hospitals were 100%. 9 hospitals basically were qualified to provide routine and rapid test of HIV,syphilis,HBV. However, 8 hospitals were unable to provide sexual partners' testing date and follow-up.ConclusionThe quality and ability of EMTCT service in Nantong private hospitals are worthy of affirmation. It is necessary to strengthen the testing of infected pregnant women's sexual partners.
