Abstract
Objective To investigate children's health status and the trend of change in nursery institutions in Liuzhou, Guangxi so as to provide evidence for developing intervention strategies to promote children grow healthily.Methods children' s physical examination data was conducted in nursery institution in Liuzhou, Guangxi were collected from 2015 to 2020. The contents of the physical examination including height, weight, skin, heart and lung, liver and spleen, spine, limb, and hemoglobin.Results Detection rate of child growth and development indicators such as short stature, low weight and pedatrophia was 4. 75%, 4. 75% and3. 95% respectively in nursery institution of Liuzhou from 2015 to 2020, which was much better in urban area than that in rural area(P< 0. 001). These indicators showed a downward trend year by year(P< 0. 001). Total obesity detection rate ranged was 2. 61%,which was higher in urban area than that in rural area(χ2= 633. 938,P< 0. 001), and it showed a downward trend(χ2trend= 53. 868,P< 0. 001). Total anemia detection rate ranged was 6. 47%, which was lower in urban area(4. 40%) than that in rural area(8. 16%)(χ2= 5 729. 421,P< 0. 001). The detection rates of anemia in urban area were different from 2015 to 2020(χ2= 150. 639,P<0. 001), but there was no clear trend. The detection rate of anemia in rural area showed a downward trend year by year(χ2trend=1 172. 507,P< 0. 001).Conclusion Children's growth and malnutrition indicators showed fall behind in nursery institution in Liuzhou,Guangxi. Rural areas should pay more attention to intervention, and nursery institutions should further strengthen health care work.
