Objective To explore the effects of continuous comprehensive management scheme in gestational diabetes melitus(GDM) patients based on 'one-day outpatient service'.
Methods A total of 400 pregnant women with GDM who delivered in Jinniu Maternity and Child Health Hospital of Chengdu from Novermber 2020 to Novermber 2021 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into study group and control group, 200 cases in each group. The control group received routine care, while the study group received a comprehensive management scheme. Their blood glucose, maternal and infant outcomes, anxiety and depression scores were compared pre- and post-intervention.
Results There were no difference between 2 groups in fasting blood glucose, blood glucose 2 hours after three meals, scores of Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) and Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS) pre-intervention (P > 0.05). Fasting blood glucose and blood glucose 2 hours after three meals in the study group were lower than those in the control group post-intervention(P < 0.05). The incidence of pregnancy-induced hypertension, hydramnios, premature rupture of membranes, cesarean section, macrosomia, neonatal hypoglycemia, neonatal jaundice and fetal growth restriction in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of preterm birth between 2 groups (P > 0.05). SAS and SDS scores of the study group were lower than those of the control group post-intervention(P < 0.05).
Conclusion Continuous comprehensive management scheme based on 'one-day outpatient service' can effectively improve the blood glucose level, the occurrence of adverse pregnancy outcomes, and the anxiety and depression of pregnant women with GDM.
