Objective To explore the impact of neonatal pediatricians' early involvement in comprehensive perinatal health care on neonatal outcomes.
Methods A total of 1 710 neonates born from April 2020 to August 2020 and 1 376 neonates born from April 2021 to August 2021 in Yinchuan GuoLong Orthopaedic Hospital in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region were recruited as control group and observation group respectively. Comprehensive health care model were compared with the routine model in terms of the incidence of neonatal asphyxia, severe hyperbilirubinemia and maternal satisfaction.
Results The incidence of asphyxia and severe hyperbilirubinemia was 0.29% and 0.14% in the observation group, 0.87% and 0.70% in the control group respectively(P < 0.05). The satisfaction rate was 97.2% in the observation group and 91.7% in the control group(P < 0.05).
Conclusion Early involvement of neonatal pediatricians in perinatal health care can improve neonatal clinical outcome and improve maternal satisfaction.
