  • Kangaroo mother care (KMC) is a type of care for premature infants and one of the main contents of early basic health care for newborns. KMC, being a low-cost basic healthcare measure for newborns, has been proved to bring many benefits to mothers and infants, including effective promotion of breastfeeding for premature infants. In this paper, we searched the relevant literature on the relationship between KMC and breastfeeding of preterm infants in and abroad, and systematically reviewed the impact of KMC on short-term and long-term breast feeding of preterm infants, in order to provided evidence for promoting breast feeding of preterm infants.
