The construction of integrated intervention project information system on birth defects in Guangdong

Objective To analyze the construction and application conditions of Integrated Intervention Project Information System on Birth Defects in Guangdong Province.Method The construction basis,system composition,function module setting and application effect of the Project Management System were analyzed synthetically.Result The information system had been widely used in the areas of birth defects intervention project in Guangdong province,and the health care work covered premarital,pregnancy and postpartum period,it provided information technology support for clinical work and program management.Conclusions Integrated Intervention Project Information System on Birth Defects in Guangdong Province can satisfy the need of project management,funds management and case follow-up.The system can complete information interchange and share information with external heterogeneoussystems,and provide reference for maternal and child health project management informationization.
