Analysis of perinatal mortality in Luohu District during 2006-2015

Objective To analysis the perinatal mortality in Luohu District of Shenzhen during 2006-2015, and in order to provide scientific basis for further reducing the perinatal mortality in Luohu District of Shenzhen.Methods To analysis the data of perinatal death in Luohu District of Shenzhen during 2006-2015. Result The average perinatal mortality was 7.01‰ in Luohu District during 2006-2015, the average perinatal mortality of resident population was 4.78‰, and the average perinatal mortality of floating population was 10.86‰. The top three types of death cause of perinatal mortality were birth defects (31.8%), unexplained (27.5%) and fetal factors (11.5%). Stillbirth was the main reason which resulted in perinatal mortality.Conclusion The perinatal mortality of Luohu District during 2006-2015 was low. It should increase health education propaganda about the premarital medical examination and pregnancy testing, strengthen the perinatal care and management of the floating population, as well as improve the awareness of maternal health care during pregnancy.
