Investigation on the situation of gynecological diseases among the community women in Weihai city

Objective To understand the situation and characteristics of common gynecological diseases among the community women in Weihai city, in order to provide a basis for establishing an effective community maternal health care periodic census.Methods Cluster random sampling method was used in this study, and all the married rural women aged 30-60-years old in six communities of Weihai were selected as respondents.Results The prevalence of gynecological diseases among the community women was 81. 05%, the top three gynecological diseases were breast diseases, cervicitis and vaginitis; the difference in the prevalence of cervicitis, vaginitis, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, cervical cancer, cyclomastopathy, mammary cancer in different age groups was statistically significant. The prevalence of malignant tumor in 41-50-year-old group was the highest (248/10⁵).Conclusion The prevalence of gynecological diseases among the community women was high, effective community maternal health care periodic census should be established to promote reproductive health of community women.
