Abstract
Objective To understand the regional distribution and changing trends of nutritional diseases of children in childcare institutions in Quanzhou city, and to put forward corresponding countermeasures.Methods According to the annual reports of health care work for nursery schools and kindergartens in Quanzhou, from 2011 to 2017, the longitudinal and regional horizontal comparisons of the children's nutritional diseases were conducted.Results During 2011-2017, the prevalence of malnutrition and anemia in childcare institutions in Quanzhou showed a downward trend, while the prevalence of obesity was opposite. The prevalences of malnutrition and anaemia among children in childcare institutions in urban areas were lower than those in the coastal plains and mountainous areas, while the prevalence of obesity was higher than that in the coastal plains and mountainous regions. And the prevalence of obesity in the coastal plains was higher than that in mountain areas. There was difference in the prevalence of nutritional diseases among different regions (χ2=341. 999, P < 0. 05).Conclusion In recent years, the prevalence of nutritional diseases among children in childcare institutions in Quanzhou has been improved to a certain extent, but it still needs to be paid attention to.
