Study on matrix metalloproteinase-1,3,8 and premature rupture of membranes

Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) is a high incidence of disease in obstetric clinics.It seriously threats to the health of newborns and pregnant women.There is close relationship between PROM and pregnant women age, low maternal weight index, smoking, genital tract infection and placental abruption.Studies in the domestic and international scientific community have found that there is close relationship between PROM and the role of the degradation or remodeling of extracellular matrix components regulated by Zn²⁺ dependent proteolytic enzymes-matrix metalloproteinases.
