The ecpression and significance of STOX1 in placenta of normal and severe preeclampsia pregnancy

Objective To exlpore the expression and significance of STOX1 in placenta of normal and severe preeclampsia pregnancy.Methods The expression of STOX1 in placenta of 30 severe preeclampsia and 42 normal pregnant women was determined by Western blotting,Real-time PCR and immunohistochemical staining.Results STOX1 was expressed in placenta of normal and severe preeclampsia,which was mostly found in syncytio-trophoblast and cytotrophoblas;the expression level of STOX1 in severe preeclampsia placenta was significantly higher than that in normal group (P<0.01).Conclusion There is an increasing expression of STOX1 in severe preeclampsia,this abnomal expression of STOX1 may be involved in the occurrence of severe preeclampsia.
