Investigation of the pregnancy management and delivery methods of twins pregnant women with single chorionic double amniotic cysts

  • Objective To analyze the pregnancy management status of twins pregnant women with single-chorionic double amniotic membrane and analyze their delivery methods. Methods Seventy-six twins pregnant women undergoing prenatal examination in our hospital from February 2013 to December 2016 in our hospital and who were delivered in our hospital were regarded as subjects for this study. They were divided into study and control groups. 38 monochorionic double amniotic membrane cases were selected as the study group and 38 cases of double chorionic double amniotic sac were selected as the control group. The incidence of pregnancy complications, stillbirth rate, delivery methods and premature delivery rate were compared between the two groups. The occurrence of fetal complications in the study group was observed. Results The incidence of complications during pregnancy was significantly different between the control group and the study group. The incidence of complications during pregnancy was 7. 89% in the control group and 28. 95% in the study group. There was a significant difference between the two groups (P<0. 05). The preterm birth rate (65. 79%), cesarean section rate (73. 68%), and stillbirth rate (9. 21%) were significantly higher in the study group than those in the control group (42. 11%, 44. 74%, 1. 32%, respectively). There was statistically significant difference between the two groups. The natural delivery rate of the study group (26. 32%) was significantly lower than that of the control group (55. 26%), with statistical difference between the two groups (P<0. 05). The fetal complication rate in the study group was 22. 36%.Conclusions The prevalence of complications, cesarean section rate, preterm birth rate and stillbirth rate of twins pregnant women with single chorionic double amniotic sac are higher. It is necessary to strengthen pregnancy management of twins pregnant women with monochorionic double amniotic sac, in order to reduce the complications of pregnant women and fetuses and improve the outcome of pregnant women and fetuses.
