Analysis of the cognitive status and demands of children's height growth of kindergarten children's parents

Objective To explore the cognitive status and demands of children's height growth of kindergarten children's parents in Haidian District.Methods The self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the children's parents in 5 kindergartens.Results The prevalence of child growth retardation in the 5 kindergartens was 1.1%, and 35.3% of children were below or equal to the target height level. The target height and height of 91.4% and 59.2% children were lower than those of the expected height. Only 28.7% and 29.2% of the children were measured their height and weight every three months. Only 20.4% and 17.2% of the parents tried the methods of keeping their children's weight and height. Among them, 13.8% and 17.5% parents didn't insist on these methods.Conclusion The parents' height expectancy for children is high. The gap between the existing height, the target height and the expected height of the children is larg There is space and demand for the height intervention.
