Ananlysis of the epidemics of hand-foot-mouth disease in suburbs of Changzhi,2016

Objective To analyze the current epidemics of hand-foot-mouth disease in suburbs of Changzhi, to provide scientific evidence for making better prevention and intervention strategies.Methods The epidemic data of Hand-Foot-Mouth disease in Changzhi suburb areas in 2016 was collected from China Disease Control Information System and analyzed by descriptive epidemiology method.Results A total of 566 cases, mainly EV71 infection, were reported in Changzhi suburb areas in 2016, with 2, 03‰ incidence rate, ranking the first one in National Notifiable Disease Reported System. May to August was the peak season for the disease, with 424 reported cases. It accounted for 74, 91% of the all cases. children aged 1-4 years old was the high incidence age group, with 399 reported cases. It accounted for 70.49% of all cases. 323 reported cases were from scattered inhabiting children. It contributes 57.07% of all cases. All of the administrative regions have reported cases.Conclusion The interventions strategies should include to strengthen the disease management system, put an end to any failure reports and artificially false report, promote health education among scattered family with young children, and reinforce the work around control and prevention of hand-foot-mouth disease based on seasonal disease incidence characters.
