Study on training status and countermeasures for primary level children's health care workers of Guizhou Province in 2015

Objective To understand the training status of primary level children's health care programs in poor areas of Guizhou Province in 2015, and to improve the existing problems.Methods All the primary level children's health care workers who participated the training were carried out questionnaire survey and theoretical examination, descriptive statistics and paired T test were used for analyzing.Results The total ratio of men and women participants was 1:10.17, their average age was 31.55 ± 6.873, and 78.91% of them were bachelor or junior college degree; 47.28% and 46.01% of the participants were no technical title and primary titles respectively; Full-time staff accounted for 44.09%; 69.01% of the participants were no practicing certificate. A total of 98.56% of the participants told that they need for training; 42.01% of the participants expected the training time for 30-60 days; 63.10%of the participants thought the obstacle during they participated training was unable released from their work totally. The overall evaluation of training was well, the participants obtained higher scores after the training then before the training (P=0.000).Conclusions It should select students according to the requirements, and carry out training based on students' demand. Student management system and teaching facilities should also be strengthened.
